Finance Director – Global Markets                                                                     Aug 2009-Nov 2016

Finance lead for two divisions with combined revenues of over $600M and 300 employees. Products included agency and principal lending, transition management, equity trading, and currency management.

Key achievements:

  • Key strategic partner in creation of principal lending business in 2009 that is projected to generate $250M in 2016 revenue and is key component of State Street growth plan.
  • Engineered $27M of cost reductions by implementing expense accrual management controls, eliminating redundant vendor services, and validating indirect expense allocations.
  • Rolled out new client profitability expense allocation methodology that business utilized to highlight unprofitable relationships and implement revenue enhancing strategies. Generated an additional $20M in annual revenue.
  • Integrated IT function into business unit managing all project capitalization and amortization.
  • Developed first product profitability model in Portfolio Solutions that is now primary report used by business to make financial decisions
